Part Three: Learn & Chart NFP
NATURAL FAMILY PLANNING CLASSES
Once you complete the Part Two 3-Day Seminar, your marriage prep journey continues by learning and charting a Part Three approved NFP method taught by a Certified instructor.
Part Three NFP Classes:
- Ideally, it should be taken AFTER completing Part Two 3-Day Seminar.
- Attendance as a couple.
- Allow up to 3-4 months to complete the approximately 6 hours of class to learn a NFP method.
- Part Three NFP classes are a separate cost and billed by the provider.
- Each method requires a different number of meetings to learn the method.
- Class dates, times, and locations will depend on the approved NFP provider.
- Classes must be taught live in real-time (no self-paced or video-based courses).
- Must include two full-cycle personal chart reviews with appropriate documentation.
- Instructor must be certified in the method.
- Certified Instructor must teach in accordance with Catholic teaching.
- NFP education must meet both USCCB and OIC Standards.
Once you complete OIC Parts One, Two, and Three (NFP Classes) satisfactorily, we will send a Certificate of Completion to your priest. CONGRATS!

- Multiple meetings
- Total class time ~6 hours
- Personal charting of 2 full cycles

There are several options for Part Three NFP classes in Indiana.
